Dr. Richard Lin

Dr. Richard Lin specializes in the preoperative evaluation and postoperative care of patients at Maloney Vision Institute.

Dr. Lin's goal is to provide best quality care for patients to enjoy their new vision and lifestyle. Before joining the Maloney Vision Institute, he had several years of experience in laser refractive surgery care. He obtained his undergraduate degree from University of California, San Diego in Bioengineering. For his degree in optometry, he attended the Southern California College of Optometry.

In addition to his training at SCCO, Dr. Lin furthered his clinical training and experience at the Veterans Administration Hospital of Los Angeles, the Blind Children Learning Center, the Center for the Partially Sighted and the Indian Health Services in Arizona. His patient care and clinical practices was recognized by the Vision Service Plan and Corning, as he was awarded for providing outstanding care in primary care optometry and for excellence in low vision.

In his spare time, Dr. Lin enjoys playing golf, badminton, hiking and traveling. Dr. Lin also has a passion for automobiles. When it comes to musical talents, he enjoys playing the violin solo, in an orchestra or chamber music.
