Results You Can Expect from Limbal Relaxing Incisions
The limbal relaxing incisions will typically correct half of your astigmatism. As long as your astigmatism starts at 1.50 diopters or less, the limbal relaxing incision should reduce it to 0.75 diopters or less, a level compatible with excellent vision without glasses. Limbal relaxing incisions aren’t as effective for higher levels of astigmatism. If you have more than 1.50 diopters of astigmatism, I generally use another method of correcting the astigmatism, like a toric lens implant.
