You want the best for your eyes. At the Maloney Vision Institute, we'll help you get that.
Financing Your Procedure
At MVI, we offer you flexibility and affordability.
The Los Angeles-based Maloney Vision Institute makes LASIK or cataract surgery affordable for any budget by offering options to assist you in paying for your procedure.
Many of our patients have compared the cost of glasses and contact lenses over a ten-year period to the cost of LASIK surgery and many have found that their LASIK surgery and other procedures are a more economical option. Designer frames, contacts, lens solutions, eye doctor visits and high tech lenses can exceed thousands of dollars in only a few years. Financing LASIK or cataract surgery can be arranged just as you would finance a home improvement or a new car.
We have several financing options that make it easier for you to afford the procedure that will make a difference in your vision, and your life. We have found that working with Care Credit has been very good for many of our patients; however there are other financing options that may be more convenient or viable.
Tax Free Flexible Spending Accounts
Flexible Spending Accounts, or FSAs, utilize the tax codes to allow pre-tax income to pay for medical costs. Your tax advisor will set it up if you meet the requirements. The FSAs are an option if you have a job based health plan. If not, there may be other Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) that are a better option for you.
Lines of Credit
For many patients who own their home, arranging a line of credit is another way of financing your eye care procedures. In this case, the interest on your loan may be tax deductible, making the cost of financing your procedure more affordable.
Another option is to open a credit card that offers cash back, mileage points or any other perk you feel is worthwhile. Often there are several credit card companies offering 0% financing over a set period of time which could potentially allow you to finance your procedure interest free while enjoying cash back or a vacation paid for by your accumulated travel points.
The cost of LASIK surgery in Los Angeles is variable depending on the amount of correction to be done and Dr. Maloney will be happy to review the various costs with you. Having LASIK or cataract surgery is a life decision that can be financed using one of the options listed here or through other means such as a personal loan or a loan from a medical loan company.
Our financing staff will be very happy to go over your options and suggest ways that may not be initially obvious. Insurance may cover some procedures and we will be happy to review your insurance coverage with you.
